The American Farsi Studies Institute (AFSI) is an institute established in the Washington DC area that translates the works of Persian-speaking scholars and writers, especially those from Afghanistan, into English. The primary goal of AFSI is to bridge the gap and misunderstanding caused by the lack of access to the works of Persian-speaking authors. The works translated by AFSI can significantly contribute to US foreign policy decision-making, historians, and experts. AFSI is currently in the crucial phase of establishing itself and securing the resources needed to fulfill its mission. It is actively seeking funding through grants, donations, and partnerships with organizations.
